EMDR Therapists in Orange County, CA and surrounding areas are welcome to attend a free study group on the second Tuesday of the month from 9:00-11:00 am.  The study group is led by Dr. Rouanzoin.  EMDR therapists or those in the process of being trained are welcome to attend.  Case consultation, EMDR protocols and other announcements and topics will be discussed.

It’s summer already!

Fall already?

If you have been to the office lately, you will have noticed that the stairwell is under construction. You may use the three other stairways, or obtain a key to the elevator from the secretary or your therapist. Construction should be completed by Thanksgiving.

We are busy over here. Dr. Rouanzoin is spending the fall weekends teaching and doing consulting in addition to his regular clinical work. Dr. Riggs is adjusting to the change in scheduling that back-to- school and soccer season bring.

We are all concerned with the stresses that market changes, elections, family and the daily stress that life in the OC brings.

We moved this spring. Yes, that was almost 5 months ago. We are in the same building, but upstairs. The address is:

We are now on the side of the building that faces Chapman (on the north-west corner of the building). If you enter the parking lot off of Chapman, park immediately to the right and enter the courtyard through the west facing gate and take the stairs up, or the elevator to the right.

EMDR Study & Consultation Groups

The EMDR study group meets (for free) the second Tuesday of the month from 9 am to 11 am in Dr. Rouanzoin’ s office. Just show up (early if you want to use the cool coffee machine).

Dr. Rouanzoin is now forming consultation groups for the fall. Groups will be limited in size. Call the office if you are interested and check the calendar for dates.

Housekeeping…

Yes, we finally accept credit cards. Some of our clients have tried to pay with prepaid health expense account debit or master/card visa cards that have not gone through. The reason your health expense account cards are not being accepted by our credit card machine is due to the “category” we chose as for the credit card billing. What shows up on credit card bills is “professional services” which could mean a range of services- not related to health expenses. Not everyone who crosses our door is seeking therapy- so “professional services” seemed accurate. It also protects our clients who do not wish “psychological services” or something along those lines to show up on a credit card statement. If you wish to use a health expense account we are happy to provide a receipt detailing the nature of the expenses. We can provide this at the time services are rendered and paid for, monthly, or annually. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Phones

Occasionally we hear that people have difficulty reaching us after hours. We do have multiple phone lines. However, if someone is calling in after hours and then tries to reach the answering service, it ties up two lines. If two people call at once– the phone lines become tied up. If for any reason you cannot reach the office or answering service and you need to, please feel free to contact them directly at 714.459.0299.
