Dr. Garrett grew up in Huntington Beach and did his undergraduate studies at Pacific Christian College, Hope International University. He completed his graduate studies at Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. Dr. Garrett has been a guest lecturer at Hope International University and is a seminar leader for many local church and community groups.
He works with a range of issues from depression to anxiety and from adolescents to adults. As an Approved Consultant in EMDR, he specializes in the full spectrum of trauma recovery (from dissociative disorders to single critical incident). He also has a passion for helping couples across a broad range of marital issues. His family is very active in a local church where he is jokingly referred to as the “mandated volunteer.”
Dr. Garrett has been an avid woodworker for many years and claims to have “sawdust in my blood.”
